4. My refrigerator contains bottled water, soy milk, condiments, and left over take-out from Thursday (late night at work). I can postpone grocery shopping 'til tomorrow!! Yay!

Z. I am on a Geoff Ryman kick. I've owned two of his books for years without reading them, but finally read 257 and was hooked. I read Was (which made me cry in the best way possible), and am 1/3 the way through Lust. He's effing BRILLIANT.

*eyebrow* orly? *snort* Maybe that's the problem then. On weekdays I wake up at quarter to five, struggle out of bed by 5:15 AM, am en route to work by 6:30, and don't see my bed again until around 11 PM at the earliest. When "my time" rolls around I'm usually on a train organizing all the crap I hastily dumped into my bag, or scribbling in my notebook if I'm awake, or silently dying of caffeine deprivation if I'm not.

This week was a marathon big push. 13 hour days. We were supposed to work today but got ahead of ourselves on one phase of the project, so Saturday hours were canceled. Some folks lamented the fewer hours/less money thing, but I am quite content to be a little poorer and still breathing. All y'all engaged in that "Richest Corpse in the Whole Freaking Graveyard" competition? Carry on.

Happy thought: I did get tickets to Saul Williams show coming up in April. :)

With authors I love on either side, this is a win/win! Go, fandom!!!

2008 SNARRY GAMES - CAN YOU HANDLE THE HEAT?

I got home from work tonight (after one of the longest days in the history of TIME) to find I'd received pretties in the mail: a gorgeous purple and peacock feather Mardi Gras mask, two strands of beads (one pink diamonds, the other multi-colored with little duckies. DUCKIES!!! *loffs the duckies*) and a copy of Arthur Hardy's 2008 Mardi Gras Guide.
